What path or mission do you want to lead our church (Abner Baptist Church) on to serve GOD?
I believe everyone has an important part to serve in the church. My desire is to make disciples for Christ. To get our church involved in the community. To have a welcoming committee. To have our deacons involved in the service of our church and the outreach for widow’s and shut ins. To establish an out reach program to win the lost to Christ in our community. To create an atmosphere of peace and harmony in our church. To estabish an Awana program. To support and help in the missionary fields.
How I was called to be the pastor at Abner Baptist Church.
The church was without a Pastor and needed someone to preach until they found a new Pastor. The congregation sought a new Pastor for several months. Occasionally they had someone to fill in on Sunday either in the morning orat night. In October of 2021, a member that I knew asked me to come and preach for them. I came and preached for several Sundays, In December of 2021, I was asked if I would consider becoming their Pastor. After praying with the entire congregation and Elders of the church I agreed to and I felt the calling of GOD to join and lead the flock at Abner Baptist Church in Kaufman, Texas in January 2022.
